Vomiting can have many causes such as hairballs, or gastrointestinal problems. Persistent vomiting should never be ignored or treated at home. If a cat is vomiting several times a day your veterinarian should be consulted. Over the counter medications should never be used without the recommendation of a veterinarian who has examined the cat.
