Many kittens and cats will be attracted to fuzzy materials and some will want to suckle on them. For some, this is a calming behavior that only lasts a few minutes and probably does not present a problem. Other cats may spend a great deal of time each day sucking and chewing on material. When this happens it may interfere with basic functions and perhaps become a compulsive disorder. If the kitten is spending hours each day in this activity, please discuss this with your veterinarian.
