Last year we welcomed a new cat, Muse, into our family. We had three already in the home...

The easiest solution is to banish all the cats from your bedroom at night. Your pillow is prime real estate that Karma believes belongs to her since it’s on the second floor and is her domain. Allowing Muse to sleep on your pillow simply thumbs a nose at Karma’s sense of ownership and as any proper cat would do, she kicks the interloper’s furry tail and you and your husband become collateral damage.

So don’t give any of the cats the upper paw here. Make your bedroom a human-only domain. Alternately, if you insist on allowing Muse to sleep on your pillow, close the door so that Karma can’t come in.
