Some cats are very playful and inquisitive and find playing with the water completely fascinating. It may help to provide the water bowl in the bathtub to decrease the mess. Some cats also prefer fresh running water and may find a pet water fountain a better water source. Finally, make sure that the cat is provided with a rotating source of toys daily. These could be boxes to climb into, feeder toys, climbing towers, toy mice and other easily moveable toys.
