Girl cats can have the exact same urinary diseases as male cats. Many people think they cannot just because we worry more and hear more about male cats "blocking" due to lower urinary tract disease. If you are finding cat urine spots around the house and your male cat has had issues in the past, I would have him looked at to be safe but I would not blame him entirely as she also could also be having a problem.
