My cat is a big talker and a big baby. Whenever I lay down he jumps on me and will start...

Kneading and nursing behaviors may persist into adulthood in some cats. In some cases the behavior occurs excessively and interferes with the cats ability to function and may be a compulsive disorder. If that is happening, the cat should be seen by a veterinarian. If the cat ingests the material then an intestinal blockage is possible which can be very dangerous. There are some cats however, who engage in this behavior as a "calming" routine. The kneading and the sucking is reminiscent of nursing and often calms the cat. If the problem does not interfere with the cats ability to function and is not causing an intestinal problem it may just be a persistent habit.
