Cats do, indeed, have a long memory for such things. I can only guess what might have set her off. It could have been something like the perfume Kristen wears, or perhaps she smelled like another cat or dog when she visited. Beebs might instead have been upset about a stray cat crossing the lawn--and since Kristen happened to be nearby, took out the upset feelings on the girl when Beebs couldn’t reach the other cat. Once the kitty gets it into her head she “dislikes/fears” this person, it can be difficult to change her mind especially with Kristen only visits once in a while.
