Actually, a kitten probably would get used to this much more easily than an adult cat. You would be the constant in the baby’s life--and it may be a nice “constant” for you in this situation as well. I assume you have your own bedroom at each household, so that will “smell” like you and be a familiar comfort for the kitten. I doubt that your parents would object to you setting up a litter box, feeding station, and scratch object in each of your bedrooms at their homes. Make these are duplicates. Also have a duplicate set of kitty toys at each place. That way you simply carry the kitty with you rather than having to pack up all the accoutrements each way. As long as you can keep the ‘home base’ for the kitten a constant, familiar place, this should work out pretty well. I’m sorry you must go through this difficult situation but I applaud your love and concern for this baby as well. Adults should learn from your example! Best wishes, my dear.
