My cat Devi recently had chylothorax (which now seems resolved). In late November and...

I'm so glad to hear that Devi has recovered from the chylothorax. It can be a terrible condition to deal with. I'm not surprised to hear that his hair has not grown back on the sides of his chest. In many cases it can take 6 months or longer for fur to grow back and that is in a cat that is healthy that entire time. Unfortunately, in some cases I've seen that it doesn't grow back at all but this is very rare. There is nothing to do to speed the hair growth along; you just have to be patient. It's likely not bothering Devi - I always feel like its more bothersome to us because it’s a reminder of the illness. Hang in there.... it will come back in eventually. Good luck as well - I hope Devi continues to do well.
