It can be so frustrating when you have a sick cat and unfortunately no reason as to why. If full lab work (including a feline leukemia and feline aids test) were normal, as were x-rays and his exam...I would start to think about disease of the GI tract. Unfortunately with diseases of the intestines, stomach, or pancreas often times no changes in labs, exam or x-rays are seen. One of the most common disease processes we come across in cats is Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD). Signs can include weight loss, diarrhea, vomiting and/or anorexia. It could be one or any combination of these symptoms. The hard part is to diagnose this; biopsies are required through endoscopy or exploratory surgery. You and your veterinarian have ruled out many things so far with what you've done but at this point, I think the best thing to do is to sit down with your veterinarian and make a plan about what you can do now for your cat. Another option to consider – seek a second opinion if you feel like you or your cat's needs aren't being met. I hope this helps a little. Please keep us posted on what's going on.
