Many times cats that are missing a leg or arm or have a disability do extremely well. I wouldn't be surprised if your kitten is able to jump to certain spots but he may not be as athletic as the resident cat you currently have. You may need to make his environment more accessible for him - perhaps you could make a step to the windows or lower the beds a little. Take lots of pictures of him...he's going to be full-grown before you know it!
