I'm not good with exact temperatures but you want just warmer than lukewarm and not so warm that it would make your skin pink or feel hot to you. Another trick to help prevent a chill after bathing is to put a towel in the dryer for just a couple minutes and then use it to dry your cat off. It will be nice and toasty warm for him or her. And people ask me all the time and I tell them cats usually do not need baths. Most are very good at keeping their coats clean and in fact bathing them can sometimes dry their coat out. I usually only recommend baths for certain breeds, for a cat that has gotten very dirty or if it’s for a medical reason.
