Munchkin kittens can range in size depending on their age. In essence, Munchkin cats are "regular" cats, just with shorter legs due to a genetic mutation. There can be variation in length and weight, but the short legs are a must to be a Munchkin. This breed has been recognized by the International Cat Association but has not been accepted by many other cat breed organizations due to some of the potential ethical and health issues in breeding these cats.
