You don’t mention Sunita’s age (lovely name, by the way!). Kittens and younger cats under a year of age tend to be very high energy and vocal. Most of the nonstop play peaks at around 16 weeks of age and thereafter slows down until reaching an adult level by about 10 to 14 months of age. So if you have a kitten, time will likely cure a great deal of the pestering behavior.
Adult cats also sometimes become very demanding and want more attention than we have time to give. The best way to handle this is--exactly what you’re already doing! Create a routine, and stick to it. That way Sunita learns that even if you don’t have time right this instant, she can anticipate her morning/evening rituals, her afternoon walk, and evening playtime. I wish every new owner spent this much quality time with his or her cat.
Sunita might also enjoy a “play and treat” ball you fill with cat treats for her to play with when by herself. She can manipulate the ball to shake out food, and entertain herself when you aren’t available.
