We have a female cat, Lola, and a male cat, Kitty Boy, that are spayed and neutered and...



I’m sorry but you’ve not given me enough information to even hazard a guess. Cats always--ALWAYS--have a reason for doing what they do. We just don’t always know what triggered the behavior.

For instance, it might be redirected aggression in which Lola saw a bird out the window she couldn’t reach, and took out her frustration on Kitty Boy because he was handy. Or it might be that he blinked at her the wrong way. Perhaps she had a headache. The way Kitty Boy acts and reacts, the environment, and Lola’s emotional or physical state at the moment can all influence such things.
