Cats often want to be near the people they love. When you sit quietly, she’s able to relax and sleep nearby while being alert to your moves/departure. Once you’re up and moving, she also takes the opportunity to exercise and play. It’s no different than people feeling most able to relax and nap only when the house is calm. When others are busy with projects, we may be curious to watch or inspired to get active ourselves.
