I have no way of knowing for sure, but would suspect that at age ten, Bandit now suffers from a degree of hearing loss, and/or a health issue such as kidney, thyroid or heart concern. Any one of these things can prompt caterwauling. So I would urge that you have him checked by the veterinarian. Both health and hearing issues also may make it more difficult for Bandit to protect himself, and so suffer more injuries in the outdoors.
