I went away for a few weeks and left my cat – a 7-year-old orange tabby cat named Mikie – with a friend. Mikie opened her screened-door and got out. I was beside myself. I wanted to fly home and look for Mikie. I did not have to worry. Mikie stayed in her yard overnight and a neighbor found him up on her front porch. She just wanted to get back to me.
