Isn’t it funny how very individual cats can be? Some cats “talk” more than others, while felines like yours may use scent more often. Perhaps he wants to know who else you’ve been petting (have you been unfaithful with another cat? LOL!). Or perhaps the hand-sniffing simply has become a ritual for him, a habit he’s established and feels comfortable continuing.
