Please help me understand my male cat and how to prevent his mean behavior toward my...



Although cats live in social groups, they do usually choose whom they will associate with and which cats they will avoid. When we create social groupings within our homes, it is not a guarantee that the cats will get along. In some cases the problem is exacerbated by limited resources in the environment. When there is more than one cat in the home there should be at least two of everything including litter boxes, food and water bowls and resting areas. Cats may also compete for owner attention and this can create conflicts.
